This retreat is good for those who love nature, quiet, and simple living. The Sunset Room is in an 1895 Swedish immigrant farmhouse. The 40-acre property has 5 km of winding trails through prairie and woods for hiking, birding, cross-country skiing, and quiet contemplation. Guests are part of a resident artist community devoted to creativity, serenity, and learning. The space You'll have a private bedroom in a shared farmhouse The Clam Falls Trail, historically used by the Ojibway to get to their spring camp, crosses the 40-acres. The house is happily shared -- living room, kitchen, dining room, cozy nook, tower. It has three bathrooms which can be shared or designated as private. Your private bedroom, the Sunset Room, has rustic pine floors, a slant ceiling, and a west facing window to watch the sunset. There's a chest of drawers, a desk, and a walk in closet with lots of clothes hangers. Guest access Curl up by the woodstove, settle into the nook, or relax in the living room. You'll have your own space in the fridge and pantry in a shared kitchen. During your stay We enjoy meeting guests and the small exchanges that happen during a stay.
