Description
Welcome to our unique equine getaway! Our cozy farmhouse is located in the middle of a working horse farm. Surrounded by pasture views, this is a wonderful retreat for couples, small families, and ladies' weekends. We are a working farm and there is some activity around the property during business hours, yet the evenings are tranquil. We care for 20+ horses on our 48 acre farm. There are "add on" opportunities for walking tours, educational experiences, riding lessons, and pony rides for kids. The space Our farmhouse has been a joy for our family and we are glad to share this opportunity for others to get away from the hustle of city life. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed and additional twin bed cubby that can be closed for privacy with the sliding barn doors. The guest bedroom has a full sized bed (with room for our fold out floor mattress) and the closet holds a stacked washer and dryer. Please note, the house is comfortable for 4 adults. While 6 people can sleep here, that number is more for families with kids. Our base price is for 3 guests and a small fee is added for additional guests, so please be accurate with number of guests. Just off the bedrooms is the shared bathroom. The living area is open with a cathedral ceiling making the best use of the space. The kitchen, dining, and living room are all located in this area and perfect for family movie or game nights. Our large screened porch has lovely pasture views and often a cool breeze perfect for napping on the couch. We provide all needed materials for enjoying a camp fire, including the wood and easy fire starter. Enjoy some roasted hotdogs and S'mores! Guest access Guests may access the farmhouse and surrounding yard including the fire pit and patio. Please do not use the open grass area by the horse arena until after barn business hours. The barn, sheds, and paddocks and pastures are off limits (look but don't enter). You may schedule a guided tour with Beth for an additional fee. Other things to note Our goal is for all of our guests to enjoy their stay and be refreshed. If there is anything we can do to accommodate, don't hesitate to ask. We stock basic food and beverage essentials, breakfast and snack items so that once you arrive you don't need to rush to a grocery. This is a farm setting, so we do occasionally deal with insects (flies, bees, stick bugs, etc.) and spiders. We do our best to control them, but don't be surprised if some try to take up residence! GPS thinks our neighbor's driveway is a road that leads to the house. Please be aware that is not correct. Our driveway is by our mailbox which is black with the numbers 2411 on top!
