Only 10 minutes from groomed snowmobile trails - bask in the beauty of Highlands East at our newly-renovated lakefront cottage. We have lovingly transformed this picturesque cottage into a year-round sanctuary, complete with a luxurious six-person hot tub overlooking the tranquil waters of Esson Lake. Whether you're here to have fun in the snow in a winter wonderland or soak up the summer sun, our 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom haven ticks all the boxes for an idyllic getaway. The space Set lakeside in gorgeous surroundings, the 3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom cottage has been beautifully and lovingly renovated to offer tranquil, relaxed country living. Convenience is key - from the parking area, a wooden walkway leads to the entrance. The yard is ringed by trees, and has a firepit. The home is split over two levels, and you will enter on the main level. On the main level (upstairs) you will find a spacious open-plan living and dining area, chef’s kitchen, and half bathroom. The space is great for social gatherings, offering comfortable couches, an 8-seater dining table, wood-burning stove, TV with complimentary Netflix, and large windows overlooking the lake. This level also has a wooden deck with gas BBQ. The three bedrooms are located downstairs, as well as a bathroom with shower. This level also has a 850 sq ft entertainment deck with an 8-seater table, conversation set, and hot tub. This deck can be reached from the main bedroom, upstairs deck via a staircase, or from the outside. From the bottom deck, the property slopes down towards the lake and dock. For your convenience, the dock, fire pit, and lake can be accessed via gently angled stairway. Guest access This property is equipped with keyless entry. Your key code will be emailed to you prior to check-in. Guests have access to the entire cottage. The property has a storage shed that is not for guests’ access. Other things to note We are located at the edge of Esson Lake (about 3 to 6 ft deep around the dock, depending on the seasonal water levels), and deeper towards the floating dock, which you can make use of. The larger and deeper part of the lake (about 20 to 60 ft deep) is accessible via boat through the culvert, which means you can use the kayaks, pedal boat, or paddle board to reach it - right from the cottage dock. The culvert to the larger Esson Lake is about 500m from the cottage dock. Septic system: Our cottage utilizes a septic system, which is different from city sewage systems. Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilets. This includes but is not limited to, sanitary products, wipes (even if they are labelled as 'flushable'), diapers, paper towels, and facial tissues. Accessibility: The property is not wheelchair accessible. Parking and driving in the winter: Please note that the property’s driveway is angled. It may get iced over in cold weather.
