Sitting at the south base of Shepherd Mountain you will have easy access to hiking and Shepherd Mountain Bike Park. Elephant Rocks, Johnson Shut-ins and Taum Sauk state parks are minutes away. Only 2 blocks from Main St. you will be close to restaurants, shopping, coffee shops and special events happening at the courthouse square. This is a 1915 Victorian that belonged to my husband’s grandmother. We have been lovingly restoring it back to its original beauty. It still has a long way to go so you may find some chipping paint and maybe a sloped floor or two. Possibly a squeaky stair tread. But we hope you’ll enjoy the home and create wonderful memories with your family and friends as the Sutton family did for many generations!! We are excited to announce our new patio! It’s a beautiful space under the shade trees. You can sit and relax. The yard is big and available for playing games. A small bbq grill, charcoal and the utensils are also on the patio. You will have access to the entire home. As well as contactless entry. We would love to help make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. So please don’t hesitate to ask any questions. quiet neighborhood just 2 blocks off of Main Street and the courthouse square. There is plenty of parking in the driveway as well as a 1 car covered carport. The Amtrak Train Station is 0.9 miles from the house. Easy enough to bike or walk. There is no public transportation. However, The Sutton House is within walking distance to Main Street. You are welcome to use the new patio area as you wish. However please note that there are uneven pavement and stones. We just ask that as you’re enjoying your time that you’re careful of your surroundings.
