Please do not ride ATV's down the private roads or on the powerline trail. Please be empathetic to the neighbors that live in the neighborhood full-time *Hot tub-6-person hot tub. Guest access Freshwater Vacation Rentals will email your arrival/departure instructions with door/lock box code. You will let yourselves in and out. The house is yours during your stay, enjoy and relax. Other things to note *Property can be challenging to find. Before you depart, please download the on-X app. In your arrival instructions, we provide driving instructions plus a link to the exact property location. Helpful info: Air Conditioning: There is no air conditioning at this property. However, there are a few fans for guests to use. ATV's: ATV’s are welcome. Please do not drive on the beach, but there are nearby trails. Beach/Swimming: The shoreline of Lake Michigan is absolutely gorgeous. Private Sandy beach for 300 ft. There is also a volleyball net setup and balls are in the garage. Boats: 4 kayaks- 1 double & 3 single, & paddle boat for guest use (Memorial Day to Labor Day) Bugs: On top of the standard Michigan bugs, especially in May/June, there are generally 2 weeks where the mayflies can be intense. Keep in mind that there are mosquitos, especially at dusk, since you are so close to the water's edge. Car Charger: There is a V2 car charger located in the garage for guest use. Distances: * Pictured Rocks: 1 hour and 15 minutes * Manistique: 12 minutes * Marquette:1 hour 44 minutes * Escanaba: 1 hour and 7 minutes * Tahquamenon Falls State Park: 1 hour 53 minutes * Mackinac Bridge: 2 hours Dock: no dock Drinking Water: It is well water. Some guests may choose to bring bottled water for drinking. Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city. Fireplace: Electric fireplace Fire-pit: There is firepit for guests to use on the beach. Fishing: Please be sure to bring your own poles as there are none at this property. Also, in order to fish in Michigan lakes, one is required to hold a fishing license. Garage: There is a garage which is used for toys. Guests can place snowmobiles/atv/boats inside. Grill: A propane grill is present. Propane is provided. Grocery Store: Manistique has many stores to shop in, which is only 12 miles away. Hot tub: A 6-person hot tub was added this spring! Internet: Yes…There is wi-fi. It can be intermittent since the property is remote. Zoom calls and video streaming are not recommended. Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Outdoor Shower: To wash off a fun day in the sand there is an outdoor shower for you to rinse off. Parking: Please be careful when it comes to turning around. It is easy to get your car/truck/trailer stuck in the sand. Tows are not easy in the U.P. Up to 5 cars can park comfortably or a 2 truck/trailer combo. EV car Charger on site Pets: Dogs are welcome (up to 2)! Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on. Privacy: It is a very private space.
