Charming Downtown Adobe Casita Walk to Railyard

Historic adobe casita in the centrally-located South Capital neighborhood, just a 10-minute walk to the Railyard District, with two movie theaters, galleries, museums, boutiques, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, breweries and distilleries, restaurants, and more! Fully-equipped kitchen, king bed with luxury linens, private, fenced-in deck. Newly-renovated, complete with Santa Fe charms such as talavera and saltillo tiles. Heat and A/C throughout. The space Our century-old casita (guest house) is made with traditional adobe bricks, hand formed from mud and straw, and covered with diamond-finished plaster to create that warm, round, classic Santa Fe feel. Thick, earthen walls create a peaceful, cacoon-like feeling when inside. You can find heated saltillo and hand-painted Mexican Talavera tiles in the bathroom and rough-hewn New Mexico-milled ceiling beams from the early 1900s in the living space. The separate bedroom includes a king-size bed, blackout shades, a desk, an armoire and a Roku television with complimentary Netflix. Prefer to stay in and cook in our full chef’s kitchen? Casa Taiowa is within walking distance of Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. Margarita connoisseurs? The Cowgirl BBQ, Tomasita's, Paloma, La Choza, and Maria’s New Mexican Kitchen are just blocks away. One space for off-street parking is available to you. The casita is through a locked gate, down a brick path, past a giant apricot tree and vintage airstream in the back of the property (where we live in the main house). You have your own private, fenced-in deck with a table, chairs and umbrella for outdoor lounging. Guest access You will have access to the casita, and it's attached fenced-in deck. We live on the same property, and you will be walking through our yard in order to enter the back unit. Other things to note Please note: We are a family of four living on the property. You may see us BBQing or enjoying the shade of our backyard as you walk through to the casita. If you'd prefer not to walk through the yard, you can use the private entrance to the alley, but NO CARS MAY PARK IN THE ALLEY. Feel free to drive in and drop off luggage, but please park on the street or in the driveway. At Casa Taiowa, we do our best to consider the environment in everything we do. We reclaim and repurpose, look for antique and secondhand furnishings, use Energystar appliances, walk and bike whenever possible, recycle and compost, and use nontoxic (yet efficient) cleaning supplies and toiletries refilled in bulk at our local zero-waste shop. We donate 1% of profits to Tewa Women United, a local non-profit that nurtures and celebrates local Native women and girls and engages in environmental, reproductive, and social justice among local Native American Communities.
