Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life on the Jackie O's Barrel Ridge Farm! The perfect getaway for families with children and/or friends who want to reunite near Athens. With lots of natural light, this new 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath space sleeps 12 and has plenty of room for your group, including a chef's kitchen with large dining table, 2nd floor living room, and tons of outdoor space with a hot tub, gas grill, fire pit, 2 ponds, several greenhouses and plenty of space to explore! Take a peaceful stroll around the 20+ acre property and check out what's growing. The greenhouses are home to vegetables and herbs served at the Jackie O's Public House Restaurant, located in Uptown Athens. Surrounding the farm are fruit and nut trees, which are used in many of our small batch Brewpub beers. Kick your feet up, listen to the birds (and frogs in the spring), and enjoy the beautiful views of rolling hills on either of the two large patios. Indulge in a relaxing soak in the new 6-person hot tub! Unwind on the sand beach or cool off in the swimming pond located just steps from the back door. End your evening with a bon fire (fire wood provided!). There are also board games and a variety of classic DVDs to choose from. Please note, cell service can be a bit spotty depending on your carrier, and there’s now WiFi at the farm! Take a quick 12 minute drive into town and explore everything Athens has to offer! Layout: 1st Floor - entrance, Bedroom 3 (twin bunk beds + futon), laundry, half bath, large chef's kitchen with dining table for 12 2nd floor - Bedroom 1 (king bed), Bedroom 2 (queen bed), common space (queen pull-out couch, futon), 2 full baths, wet bar, access to 2nd floor patio Pack-n-Play available upon request. Please note, the AirBnB space is located in a newly constructed barn that is attached to our Wood Shop. The Wood Shop Crew may be working during workday hours (M-F 9am-5pm) and as a result, you may hear them creating tap handles or other creative projects out of bourbon barrels, etc. Our Farm Crew and their two social and sweet dogs will also be around tending to the vegetables, fruit and nut trees (hours vary depending on time of year). Farm Tours can also be arranged if your group wishes - please message me to request a tour! You'll be able to access the AirBnB unit and stroll around the farm property. The AirBnB is attached to a wood shop and farm storage that you will not have access to, unless you schedule a tour in advance of your visit. Please use caution and common sense when exploring the farm! Host will be available over the phone, if requested, to check guests in and go over the outdoor space. Host is also available via email, text, or phone call during your stay or on location, as needed. Please note that our farm crew and wood shop staff may be on the property, but will not access the AirBnB. Barrel Ridge Farm is situated in the rolling hills of Southeast Ohio just 7 miles south of Uptown Athens. You'll obviously want to visit Jackie O's 3 locations while in town: Taproom & Production Brewery, Uptown Brew Pub, and Public House Restaurant! The space is about a 12 minute drive into town. Lyft and Uber service the area but are not always reliable.
