Classic Flat Top, Beach 3 min walk, Pets Stay Free

The Flat Top on 1st is a throwback to an era almost lost in the Outerbanks!! Originally constructed in 1958, this single story Block House sits on a large double corner lot in the Heart of Kill Devil Hills. Close to the Beach, shopping , and Attractions, Our Vintage Flatroof is Modernized while trying to keep its nostalgic feel that made so many fall in love with the Outer Banks!! The space The House and Yard- This mostly renovated 58' Flattop has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and sleeps 7. Queen Beds are located in 2 of the rooms and a Twin over Full Bunk in the other. The house is 1500sq ft and single story so no stairs to drag luggage and groceries up or down. It is equipped with split unit A/C in the living area and the 2 larger bedrooms with a window unit a/c in the 3rd bedroom. Several Fans are also installed to help keep the house comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with basic amenities such as pots/pans, kitchen ware, utensils, and grill necessities for dining in. There is a Charcoal grill, oven/stove, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, and Vitamix Blender for our guests' use. All bedding linens, Soft Bathroom Towels, and beach towels are provided. The house is equipped with high speed wifi. Living room has an entertainment center with a 55 inch Roku Smart TV, Blue Ray/Dvd player/movies, assortment of board games, and a small library of books for your reading pleasure. The front door opens up to a screened porch which makes for a wonderful place for coffee, breakfast, or a cold afternoon beverage. The large fenced back yard makes for a perfect place for the kids or furbabies to run off some energy. There are sitting areas on the patio/yard, gas fire pit, cornhole boards for some friendly competition, and an outdoor shower to spray off the sand from a fun day on the beach!! We also provide several adult beach cruiser bicycles and one child’s bicycle for our guests use. These are awesome to explore the nearby attractions, restaurants, or pop over to the sound for a beautiful OBX sunset!!! Guest access Location- The Home is located a short 3 min walk to a Life guarded (Seasonal) Beach Access. So no searching endlessly for a parking place and loading and unloading Gear after a long day on the Beach. Some Beautiful Sunrises, shell hunting, and wonderful water activities await just at the end of the street. Many shopping, restaurant, and noteworthy attractions are just a short walk or bike ride from house. Just across the Bypass (equipped with a redlight /Crosswalk) is the Publix Supermarket for your food and beverage needs. For a fun family outing or date night, Professor Hackett's Putt Putt is also just a short walk away. Bay Drive runs along the Sound and is a nice bike ride option for catching some stellar sunsets! One of our personal favorite activities is to take a leisurely bicycle ride (10 to 15 min) along the backroads to the Wright Memorial. The Avalon Fishing Pier is nearby for the anglers in the Family. And the wonderful nearby Restaurant options are plentiful (Goombay's, OBX Brewing Station, Jolly Roger's, and Awful Arthur's just to name a few). Other things to note Pet Friendly- We love our furbabies and believe they should be able to enjoy a vacation as well. Up to 2 well behaved Pets are welcome. The back yard has potty bags provided and Guests are obligated to pic up after their pets. And we do ask that no wet pets be allowed inside until dried off. We love our Vintage Flat Top. We have done and will continue to do many renovations and customizations as time goes on. That said, our 58' model is not perfect and may not be perfect for everyone. Many years of Beach life have given it imperfections and quirks that we have grown to love. If a flawless super modern house is what you desire you may need to search elsewhere. If a funky unique throwback house with a large yard that is close to the beach and amenities sounds appealing, then The Flat Top on 1st may be just right for you!!
