Quiet and Cozy Mountain Retreat

Cute, comfortable, and cozy home in the mountains near Boulder. Conveniently located near a small mountain town and Eldora ski area. The space Private home on one acre of partially wooded property with trail easement at one end. We border National Forest land with many trails and Eldora Ski Resort is minutes away. Skiing, boarding, hiking, biking, climbing, fishing and various other activities, for all ages, are available within a short distance. Mature gardens around the house, when summer does come. : ) We are 2 mi. over dirt road to the nearest town of Nederland, which lies along the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway and above Barker Reservoir. The town contains a grocery, organic co-op market, hardware store, laundry, restaurants, activities for children and a Teen Center. You will also have access to a Library as well as a Post Office. The City of Boulder is a short 30 minutes away. If you head 30 minutes in the other direction you will come to Central City, which has numerous casinos. Come enjoy the beauty of the High Peaks! Guest access All of the property except shed, crawl space, and storage box truck that is on property. Other things to note Things to be prepared for- •We are at high altitude. Make SURE you drink a lot of water if you are not used to it!! •Be prepared for all types of weather. We have a Colorado reputation of variable weather. *Wildlife and plant life depend on the weather and it’s effect on the season. • You may see fox, deer, elk, moose, mountain lion, or bear. If you do, please enjoy from a distance and do not engage them. Please educate yourself on their behaviors and do NOT attempt to feed them! •For the safety of our guests, we ask that children and pets be kept within your sight. • We are on a tankless hot water system. Please refrain from turning the hot water on and off repetitively in a short period of time. You may also need to wait a minute for the cold water to run through the system before the hot gets to you. If it seems an ordinately long period of time, turn the faucet off, wait a few seconds and turn it back on again. •Due to where we are and not being on public utilities, our septic system is delicate. Only toilet paper in the toilets and no food down the drains.
