Known as the handsomest house in town, this famous residence has been reimagined into a 9-room luxury boutique inn that captures a new balance of contemporary elegance with a stylish grandeur for the 21st century. The George is one of the most successfully executed examples of late nineteenth century residential architecture. It is part of the National Register of Historic Places and subsequent National Parks Service Evaluation. The space This room is one of our two spacious top-floor suites. It highlights gorgeous exposed rafters and angled ceilings, a warm reminder of this property’s original 1891 Queen Ann architecture. Including a gorgeous sitting area with a custom chandelier overhead, a twin sofa sleeper, and wet bar with marble countertops, this suite is well worth making the journey up to the third floor. All rooms have older windows that are not double-paned nor sound resistant, some rooms have a closet and others have freestanding armoires. The building does not offer an elevator and guest rooms are located on 1st , 2nd, and 3rd floor walkup. The George is best suitable for children over the age of 12. For the safety and security of our guests and employees, please be advised that common areas within the property, such as hallways, stairwells, and common use spaces, as well as exterior areas of the property, are monitored by surveillance cameras. This measure is in place to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone on our property. Please note that the interiors of guest rooms are not monitored, and we do not have any smart devices in guest rooms to ensure the privacy of all guests.
