We live here, we care about this place, and we welcome every guest personally on arrival. The studio is garden-level with its own private entrance, set a few steps below street level. It has windows with natural light, as shown in the photos, and offers a calm and independent environment — ideal for resting after a day of work, travel, or visits. There is no full kitchen, but the coffee corner covers everything most guests actually need: Nespresso, kettle, microwave, mini-fridge, and basic tableware, with complimentary coffee and tea provided. For everything else, great restaurants, a bakery, and a supermarket are all within a short walk. The bathroom is fully equipped with complimentary toiletries, towels, and a hair dryer. The bedroom has two single beds, easily arranged as a double. A desk, Smart TV, and fast fiber WiFi make it a comfortable base for work as well as rest. Business travelers will appreciate the full-service dry cleaner directly across the street. Families with young children can request a crib, highchair, and toys — just let us know in advance. The Neighbourhood Saint-Louis is a well-connected, walkable town on the French side of the tri-border region. Basel city center, EuroAirport, and major employers including Novartis, Roche, Bayer, Lonza, and J&J are all reachable in minutes. Within walking distance: a daily supermarket, two bakeries, a Saturday farmer's market, and a range of restaurants covering Japanese, Alsatian, Indian, Oriental, and Asian cuisine. Guest access We welcome our guests in person between 14:00 and 21:00. We will show you the studio and answer any questions you may have. Arrivals outside this check-in window are not possible. A secure lockbox is available as a backup in the unlikely event of an emergency on our end, during the listed check-in times. The garden and outdoor areas are private family spaces and are not available to guests. Access to the property and studio is strictly limited to registered guests only (maximum 2 persons). Outside visitors are not permitted. Other things to note The property exterior is under video surveillance. The studio has no washing machine; a full-service dry cleaner is across the street and self-service laundromats are nearby. Loss of the house key requires lock cylinder replacement at a cost of €250.00. This is a strictly non-smoking property; a smoking area is available at the front. In accordance with French law, non-French nationals are required to complete a police registration form (fiche individuelle de police) upon arrival. We will provide this form on site.
