Experience Sicilian hospitality in guesthouse Chincana, quietly located in the hills around the lively mountain village of Cianciana. It is an oasis amidst centuries-old olive trees, a lush mulberry tree, almond, fruit and palm trees. The space The guesthouse is located 2 km from the very lively village of Cianciana. You can experience a beach day 25 minutes away by car, and Agrigento, (valle dei templi) the largest archaeological site in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is 45 minutes away by car. The guest house is located on a vast estate of 10,000 m² overlooking surrounding rolling hills with, among other things, vineyards. On the estate is also our own house where my wife Esther and I live together with our Sicilian adopted cat (Babette) and dog (Max). The guest house and our house are separated by a 50-meter-long aisle flanked by palm trees. It provides the necessary privacy during your stay. The use of the infinity pool, architecturally integrated with the guest house, is exclusively reserved for you. Guesthouse Chincana thus combines the homely informality with the privacy and guarantees a relaxing stay. The ultimate experience of the Italian "dolce far niente". For those who want to enjoy a carefree vacation, we also offer - to a limited extent - gourmet meals inspired by French-Italian cuisine. If you are interested in this, you can always ask us about the possibilities. For the more active/sporty guests, the region also has a lot to offer. A fitness center and a paddle club are located in the village. As an avid amateur cyclist, I have explored the area several times and can be your guide on bike rides if desired. Sporty racing bikes are also available. Guest access The air-conditioned guesthouse, equipped with a good WiFi connection, is 42m² in size and has 2 bedrooms separated by the bathroom with large walk-in shower, sink and toilet. The master bedroom with king-size auping bed has a door window that gives access to the terrace. The second bedroom, also accessible through a separate entrance, has two single auping beds. The guesthouse is extremely comfortably furnished. For example, there are plenty of fitted wardrobes and storage space with a washing machine. All necessary care products are provided (towels, shower gel, soap and toilet paper) as well as a vacuum cleaner, ironing board and iron. Beach towels to use at the pool or at a beach visit are also available/present. The eye-catcher is the infinity pool of 12m by 4m, which is located next to the covered outdoor kitchen with large terrace. The kitchen is equipped with an American refrigerator, quality appliances such as a wine fridge, Nespresso machine, milk frother, robot mixer, grill pan... A barbecue and a green egg (which can only be used with special charcoal, to be purchased from us), basic herbs and olive oil from our own harvest are freely available. The outdoor kitchen with kitchen island flows into a lounge area with teak seats. The infinity pool is equipped with an outdoor shower, teak sunbeds with mattress, hammock and 2 fatboys that are allowed in the pool. The large portable umbrella provides shade to one of the two large dining tables.
