Situated on one acre of rustic private land, the house is nestled between the Caha mountains and the waters of Bantry bay and offers panoramic sea and mountains views. The location allows for the perfect mix of being immersed in nature and yet a quick 5 minute drive from the pretty town of Castletownbere where you will find all amenities. The space The stylish house is ideal for families and comfortably sleeps 6 but can also accommodate 8. There is a large fully equipped kitchen with patio doors. A large living room and dining space with panoramic seaviews and an open fireplace. The large master bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite shower room. The large family bedroom has sea views and has a double bed and a queen bed. The third double bedroom also has seaviews. The house includes a second shower room just off the hallway. There is a large patio area to the front of the property where you can catch the sunrise and sunset over Roaring Water Bay and Bere Island. It is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and relax after a day of outdoor activities including mountain walks, sea swimming, kayaking, golf, horse riding, hiking, and sailing. The rugged Beara Peninsula has maintained its status as one of Ireland’s best kept secrets in a small part because its winding rural roads are too narrow for tour buses. This makes it a very special place and has some of the most breathtakng scenery in the world. Witness Exotic greenery, which can survive the Irish winters thanks to the warm Gulf Stream. The house is less than 2km from the bustling village of Castletownbere where you will find all amenities including a supermarket, restaurants, pubs, cafes, butchers, fish mongers, delicatessin, health food store, medical centres, post office, shops etc. Known as Ireland's fishing capital, if you are a fish or seafood fan, this is the haven for you. Drop in to the famous MacCarthy's Bar, which has been in the same family for 150 years, and enjoy a pint, the local food, live music and unequivocal community spirit. The holiday home is also the perfect base to explore popular spots including the white sand beach in Ballydonegan Bay (20 minutes), the colourful village of Eyeries (15 minutes), The Mare's Tail Waterfall (15 minutes), Healy Pass (20 minutes), Glengarriff Woods Nature Reserve (25 minutes), Gardens of Garnish Island (25 minutes), The Derreen Gardens (25 minutes), Gleninchaquin Park (35 minutes), or take Ireland's only cable car from the mainland to Dursey Island. There is also a beautiful pebbled beach five minutes drive from the house which has calm waters suitable for all ages and is ideal for paddling boarding and kayaking. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house. Other things to note Dogs are welcome but the grounds are not fenced so dogs will need to be keep on a lead outside.
