Our favorite part is the fact that it backs right up to the forest. In this particular neighborhood located right off Pioneer trail, you have access to miles and miles of walking and biking trails right out your back door. Not to mention, the North Upper Truckee river for splashing around is just a short walk away. This home is perfect for those wanting to unwind in style. Take an early morning walk to the river, and hang out by the firepit in the evening. It requires a special kind of water. There is a switch for it on the wall but please don’t let kids play with it. - This home has hydronic heating which takes a while to heat up. We leave it at 65+ for your arrival then you will want to turn up all 3 thermostats to your liking. - The upper deck off the laundry room sometimes leaks into the kitchen in heavy snow years. Please let us know if this happens. - This home has a smoke alarm system that will automatically alert the fire department so if you set off the smoke alarms open windows, turn on fans and wave a towel in front of them right away. COUNTY RENTAL LAWS Please understand that these are laws set forth by the county that we all must abide by in order to keep Lake Tahoe an enjoyable and safe place to visit for years to come! :) 1. 10pm - 8am is the county quiet time for all rentals. 2. Trash goes into the bear box only and is not to be left outside. 3. We cannot host extra people at this home or allow parties. 4. No extra cars, parking on the street OR on the dirt. *Possible fines from local police or eviction can result if laws are not followed. IMPORTANT INFO - QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD: In Tahoe it’s so quiet at night that you could hear a pin drop! As a result, we can only host quieter groups that will abide by all of the county laws. Our guests are normally fine as long as they head inside or to the casinos after 10pm. Appreciate your understanding! - REVIEWS: “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” We please ask that you have some grace and compassion when you review this owner’s home and we will do the same when we review you. This is very much appreciated! - TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that all of our lovely guests purchase travel insurance as we normally do not refund for Covid, smoke, fires, weather, snow storms, road closures, etc.  - WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY: After the historic Winter of 2023, we recommend only 4WD vehicles with snow tires, tire chains and experience driving in the snow. Tahoe roads are icy and power outages are common. - LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out, if you wish to request a late check out. First hour is free then $25/hour after that, not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel for up to 1 hour to clean this home so we ask that you please respect the 10am check out time. - NO AC: Like most homes in Tahoe, there is no AC but we do provide plenty of fans. - HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts and charcoal bbq’s are prohibited. - BLACK BEARS: Black bears inhabit Lake Tahoe and are attracted to food and trash. Always lock your car doors, roll up windows and view from afar. Please do not feed our bears. - TOWELS: We supply one bath towel, one wash cloth per occupant and then one hand towel per bathroom. - SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance but we take our guests privacy VERY seriously.
