Brutalist Beauty with balcony_ large 1 bed
Description
A stylish, comfortable and spacious apartment with lots of natural light, a private terrace and situated in a world famous architectural landmark. This is considered one of the greatest examples of the "Brutalist" movement in London, designed as a sort of concrete post-World War II social Utopia. The local area is quiet and residential with tube access to central London in under 20 minutes. The flat was featured in the book Bold British Design by Emilio Piemental Reid and Sarah Hogan. The space The flat is situated on the top floor so there is lots of natural light and fantastic views over North London (there is a lift/ elevator to the front door so no need to worry about climbing steps apart from one flight within the flat). The flat is spread over two floors with living space upstairs and bedrooms, bathroom and laundry downstairs. The living room is large with a full wall of windows and a sliding door opening up onto a south-facing terrace with lots of pots and flowers. There is seating, dining table and a barbecue for you to use at your leisure. There is a large smart television and a Sonos Speaker in the living room, high speed Wi-Fi is accessible throughout. The kitchen is tucked behind a low wall and is equipped with oven, gas hobs, microwave, toaster, kettle and a large assortment of cooking equipment. There are coffee percolators and a cafetiere for making coffee. Downstairs is a good sized carpeted bedroom with double bed, mirror, built-in cupboards and black-out shutters. Duvet and pillows are feather filled, sheets and towels are 100% cotton. We have a cot and other baby bits available if you need. The bathroom has bath with a shower incorporated and there is a separate laundry room with a washer, dryer and ironing board. Our son’s bedroom will be locked during your stay. The estate is generally quiet and you will often see people filming and photographing the architecture as it is popular with film crews for its unique look. You may recognise it as a location from the Kingsman movie! Guest access I will greet you at the flat with the keys and show you around or my sister sometimes helps me out if I am not available. I am always as accommodating as possible with check-in times. Other things to note This is my home and is filled with my personal belongings however you should find adequate storage space in the wardrobes and for suitcases. The heating system is controlled by the building and is not adjustable. It is not on during the summer months. Please be aware that although the area is quiet, the apartment is adjacent to the railway line and trains can be noisy during the day and night.
