La Terrasse - A Peaceful Place in the Forest

La Terrasse is located in the Causses du Quercy Regional Park. Set in a private forest, it is a peaceful location, close to nature, but with beautiful places, such as the medieval village of St Cirq Lapopie, nearby. The property, with its oak woodland and meadows, is a haven for wildlife with numerous species of orchid, butterflies, birds and mammals. La Terrasse is one of two gites at Les Teyssonnières. The gite is for adults only. No children permitted. The space Our gite occupies part of the first floor of our old barn. Comprising an open plan bedroom / sitting area with kitchenette and separate wc and shower rooms, La Terrasse is ideal for couples with its double bed, or can be configured as a twin. French doors lead onto a very large decked terrace with panoramic views over the surrounding woodland. Sun loungers, table, chairs and large parasol are included along with a barbeque. A shared swimming pool and terrace with sun loungers are located in a private and peaceful part of the property. A washing machine and drying facilities are available for guests in a separate building. Access to the gite is by a private external staircase. Ample parking is provided on-site. Electric vehicle charging is available on-site Bikes (electric and regular) are available to hire on site. Guided bike tours are available, visiting some of the local nature sites and places of landscape and heritage interest. Please enquire for further details. Alongside the holiday accomodation we run photography workshops and day trips, as well as offering tuition and rental of on-site wildlife watching/photography hides. Other things to note No smoking is allowed inside, only on the gravelled terrace outside the cottage, due to the risk of fire.
