Chalet 1728 - La Reculaz - 2 mins from Val D'Isere

Built in 1728 and totally refurbished to the highest standards in 2006, this traditional stone and wood Savoyard chalet is located in the tranquil hamlet of La Reculaz, Tignes overlooking the Lac de Chevril. It is just a couple of minutes by free shuttle bus (winter and summer) from the world famous Val D'Isere. The large terrace garden offers incredible lake views and it is the perfect retreat in Winter or Summer. The space The chalet is located 100 metres from the road in the pedestrian only Hamlet of La Reculaz. It was built in 1728 and is a traditional stone and wood farmhouse. As you enter through the original doorway to the chalet (mind your head!), you will find yourself in the entrance hall which is the perfect place to store ski equipment or muddy hiking boots after your day enjoying the Alpine environment. On this same ground floor level is the first bedroom and bathroom with a hammam steam room with a large rain head shower, as well as a washing machine. The bedroom can sleep 2 people in single beds, . On the first floor is a large double bedroom with ensuite, and to the right is the open plan kitchen, dining and living room. The kitchen, living and dining room is spacious, warm and welcoming and well equipped with everything you would need for a self-catered holiday. The fully fitted kitchen is kitted out with top of the range appliances. Facilities include a large electric range oven with six gas hobs, a microwave, a dishwasher, a Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toasters, and a large fridge with a freezer compartment. I will leave basic supplies for you such as salt, pepper, herbs & spices, oil, tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, a selection of cleaning products and a few treats to get you started. The living area is cosy and relaxing, perfect after a busy day on the slopes or just to put your feet up in front of the fire with a good book. The smart TV in the living room is equipped with IPTV providing thousands of channels from around the world, including all premium movie and sports channels. For music lovers there is an internet radio with Bluetooth connectivity and a USB connection for other devices. In the Summer months there are double doors out into the garden, but please note this won't be accessible in Winter after heavy snowfall. The large garden has a bbq and several seating areas with lake views and plenty of summer garden games for guest use. The top floor of the chalet is home to the last three bedrooms. The main bedroom on this level has a large double bed and ensuite bathroom without toilet but with his and hers sinks and a jacuzzi bath. The second bedroom sleeps three people in bespoke and spacious alpine style bunk beds, suitable for adults and children. The third bedroom is a cosy wood and stone double room. The bathroom on this level consists of a spacious walk in rain head shower, wash basin and heated towel rail. There is also a separate toilet on this level. Please note that due to the location and layout of my chalet, it may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.
