Stay at this cozy 4 bedroom 2 bath all on one level with Old Rag Mountain View’s.Relax while the kids play outside on this 40 acre property.Complete privacy located in gorgeous Madison County. Minutes from local breweries, wineries and hiking Old Rag Mountain. Experience country life with family/ friends or escape by yourself to just get away. Please understand this property is in a rural area with no cell service. The driveway is about 1/4 mile long so we recommend 4 wheel drive in the winter. There is 4 bedrooms. 3 bedrooms have queen/full beds. 1 bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds. There are two full bathrooms. One has a tub and the other is a stand up shower. There is two couches that pull out into beds. There is also a roll away bed. There are board games and puzzles. There is a firepit and patio set. Cows are on the property so please enjoy watching them but do let children or pets go past the electric fence. You can hike the property but please wear bright colors for others to see you. There is a washer/dryer for you to use. There is a coffee maker and a Keurig. There are stink bugs/lady bugs sometimes. It is the country life. We vacuum every time we go in to clean but they come back to visit every day. There is wifi but it is satellite. It will frustrate you but you can tie your cell phone to it but if there is more then a couple people at a time doing it then it will be slow. Just be prepared. There is a wood stove in the house so please bring bundles of wood from the store to burn if you want to use. It goes through a couple bundles a night. Please do not put garbage in the wood stove to burn. Parking is in the grass by the house. The driveway is gravel but can be slick during the winter. We recommend having 4 wheel drive in the winter or leaving your vehicle at the end of the driveway if you don't think it will make it. The driveway is 1/4 mile long. There is no cell service in the area. If you are coming from Madison, VA you will have no service about 10 minutes from the property. If you are coming from Warrenton area you will not have cell service for about 30/45 minutes. Please plan accordingly. The town of Sperryville does have a couple restaurants that have wifi that you may be able to use but it is very limited. This is a very remote area. There is plenty of stocked items such as pans, blenders, electric knife, popcorn machine etc. you name it then it is probably there. we just ask you treat everything as it were your own. many people say this is grandma's house without grandma and we kind of like to keep it this way.
