Located in Panormo, Rethymno on the island of Crete, this detached vacation home is 43.5 km from Heraklion. The property is 9.7 km from Balí and features views of the sea. Rodialos is an attempt to concentrate all of Crete’s qualities into a uniquely alternative holiday. Our priority is the environment and its protection. As part of the price we offer served breakfast every morning or, if you prefer privacy, we will stock the fridge for you to prepare your own breakfast. The space The house is built in harmony with the landscape and reflects the beauty of the Minoan era. Materials are traditional and natural: Stone, earth, marble, wood. The paints used are also naturally sourced, like those on Byzantine art, with colours inspired by the surrounding pallete and Minoan paintings. The geometrical shape of Rodialos, the many entrances, the view from all the windows to the landscape and the sea, make the inhabitants feel that they live indoors and outdoors simultaneously, as the life of Greeks is mostly in the open. The house can comfortably accommodate up to ten people and provides all contemporary and necessary comforts. There are four spacious bedrooms (one of them en suite, another with two hobs and a fridge) that can accommodate up to eight guests. Two more beds in an isolated side of the living room can be used for an afternoon nap or to accommodate two extra guests. There are three bathrooms covered with white marble and two kitchens fully equiped. Linen is changed and the house cleaned twice a week. Organic cretan food for breakfast will be waiting in the fridge. The wide dining room, the living room, the terrace and the veranda can accommodate numerous guests for symposia, dinners and parties according to the season and the weather. A laundry room is situated next to one of the bathrooms and a big compost heap in the field for recycling residual waste. We offer either the whole Villa or parts of it as the schedule of the house permits us to share it, in two independent apartments, for 2 up to 4 persons each.
