"Eivind Astrup" Cabin / Bardu Huskylodge

The “Elvind Astrup”Cabin has been decorated and set-up with ever attention to detail to make your evenings with us comfortable and relaxed. Lovingly furnished with drift wood and natural materials the cabins accommodate five to six people. We have a sauna near the river (additional for 450NOK). Our three cozy log cabins „Helge Ingstad Hytte“, „Eivind Astrup Hytte” and "Wanny Woldstad Hytte" are all to rent on Airbnb. The space We offer breakfast for 200NOK/Person (150NOK/Children). The bathrooms/sauna with two showers are in an adjacent building. There is no watersystem in the cabin, but watertrunks with drinking water. On our lodge we have a residential building; an operational building with a workshop, kitchen for the dog food and baths/toilets; a sauna near the river; our two cozy log cabins „Helge Ingstad hytta“, „Eivind Astrup hytta" and "Wanny Woldstad hytta"; and a grill cabin for nice bbq in bad weather (we take 200kr for use included wood). At our lodge we do not practice mass tourism! Our lodge is cosy and for our winter tours we have roughly 16-50 huskies on our farm. In the months without snow we also have some pigs for our own meat. In Summer there are innumerous hiking trails in the mountains, whether you fancy a daily excursion or longer tours with overnight stays. PLEASE NOTE that we are not a zoo! We use our animals for guided tours over several days and we cannot guarantee that all animals are at the lodge at the time of your visit! Guest access The cabins are beside our dog yard with 16-50 Alaska Huskies, very sozial and friendly dogs. You are welcome to help and join the daily work on the Lodge at all time! We also have a Sauna you are welcome to use for an additional price. Other things to note And of course there is always much to do and experience at the Huskylodge: nature, pigs, freedom and of course huskies! The animals are always happy to be petted and cuddled! They all have to be fed and cared for and everyone is welcome to help! You can even take the puppies or dogs out on walks and short hikes out on your own.
