A townhouse designated as a National Cultural Property is available for one group per day. It is an inn surrounded by the atmosphere of the ancient capital. Nishijin Fujita is located in Nishijin Yamaname-cho. As the name of the town suggests, it is a townhouse built on the site of the residence of Yamanasouzen, who led the western army in the Onin War. It consists of an east wing and a west wing, which are registered national tangible cultural properties. The east wing, which is the accommodation, is a traditional townhouse built in the early Meiji period, and the appearance of the time, such as the Mushikoma window and the lattice window, remains intact. The accommodation is on the first floor of this east wing, and the living room, dining room, washroom, and bath have been renovated with an emphasis on convenience, but the living room and bedroom retain the structure and atmosphere of a townhouse, and you can spend a relaxing time looking out at the courtyard where you can see the storehouse and tea room. In addition, the garden where the "Okudo-san" (a rice cooker) was located has been turned into a Tataki, and you can see pre-war household tools and tools related to Nishijin weaving. There are also rare books about Kyoto, which you can read freely. The space The space, which was originally used as a gallery, has been completely renovated. The large windows overlooking the front garden of the west wing and the light coming in from the windows facing the street make it a bright and open space. The natural stone tiles with full floor heating are gentle, and you can relax without getting cold in winter. We have a simple kitchen & sink, fridge, microwave, etc., so you can use it as a living/dining room for meals, parties, etc. You can enjoy private time while looking at the illuminated garden at night. The master bedroom has a Simmons bed. Sleep comfortably on a "craftsman's mattress beyond springs" made with luxurious natural wool. In addition, the futon is made of the finest down using 100% cotton fabric. The two "back rooms" facing the garden can also be used as bedrooms by laying out futons. We have Nishikawa's finest mattresses. We can accommodate up to 9 people, including the main bedroom. Please note that we do not provide meals at the hotel. Be sure to include the required information in the guest list and attach a copy of your passport, driver's license, or health insurance card.
