Welcome to The Moonlight Yurt our private & self contained genuine Mongolian Yurt that is both heated and air conditioned. It forms part of Kaouki Hill, a handcrafted boutique lodge spread out amongst ancient Argan trees in Sidi Kaouki. We are elevated but sheltered on a hillside a few Kms from the village and 20 min walk to the beach/surf. The grounds have views over the hills, forest and Ocean. The Moonlight Yurt is a self contained paradise within its own private garden, exclusive use bathroom, kitchenette and lounge perfect for romantic couples and families alike. Relax, unwind and get away from the stresses of work & home in this magical space. Kaouki Hill’s ethos has been to work with nature whenever possible and it is reflected throughout the project. The Yurts gardens are enclosed by a vertical timber barrier stitched between the Argan trees and curved feature stone walls giving a generous garden space complete with an outdoor hot & cold shower, sun-loungers, solid roof semi outdoor kitchen & bathroom, koi carp water feature, and traditional BBQ. A 5.5m diameter raised oak platform supports the Yurt which exclusively forms the bedroom and is furnished with hotel quality bedding and a king mattress. Extra single beds can be provided in request. The walls are insulated with traditional hypoallergenic felt stabilising the temperature for a great sleeping experience. We also supply heating and air-con should the outdoor temperatures be too hot or cold. Yurts also have the ability to remove part of the roof cover allowing guests to see the sky and create natural airflow adding to the comfort inside. Being self catering the kitchenette is fully equipped with fridge, sink (hot and cold running water) and a twin electric cook top. The cupboards are full of everything you need to eat, cook and prepare your own food during your stay. We deliver breakfast around 9am each morning as a basket/Guffa full of local, continental and seasonal treats. Guests have really enjoyed our creative approach ensuring that there’s something new and different every day. It’s so generous people have plenty left for the rest of the day should you wish chill out at home. We have left water, tea and coffee for you to enjoy on arrival. The kitchen has salt, pepper, various spices and small bottles of organic Olive and Argan oil to get you started. We recommend you stock up on a few items before arrival as the shops and Sidi Kaouki village are a 45 minute walk away. Traditional Moroccan techniques fused with contemporary lines and all the comforts you need for the perfect relaxing break have been carefully curated taking what was a piece of wild desert land into your own private oasis.
