Bear Creek Camping

This rental is for exclusive access to our 100 acre wilderness retreat. There are dramatic knobs, wooded coves, quiet valleys and peaks with spectacular views. The property is interlaced with roads and trails. There are two tall ridges on the east and west sides and several smaller ridges and valleys in between. There is a rare natural mountaintop pond on the west ridge and an open meadow in the center. Guests may total up to ten adults and teens. Bring everything you need and take all trash. The space This space is offered to guests who want to have a large wooded space to themselves. Camp, hike, picnic nap, commune with nature, or whatever you’d like to do. The large central meadow is a perfect place for a base camp. Spike camps may be set up anywhere you like. There is only one entrance and it is locked, so guests may park at the gate and hike to their preferred location. Rentals start on Saturday or Sunday and stays are for seven or six days, respectively. We live a distance away and we can only be there on Weekends to meet you and provide an orientation. Guest access The parking area adjacent to the gate entrance and the mountain property behind it are part of this rental. There is a rental cottage on the property that is rented separately to other guests. While it is rare that the cottage is available, if available the same group may rent both properties. Other things to note This is a quiet mountain community. Please don’t be loud unless you are on top of the mountain. Also, No hunting, and no shooting.
