A simple place for traveler’s to sleep! This is a private room, in a shared apartment w/ shared common space. • 2 blocks from the train • Quiet street • Hidden gem suburb — Berwyn • 20 mins from Union station via Metra Train. • Easy Street Parking Walk to get coffee at The Local Flour Stand, visit beloved watering holes for folk and Americana music & Eat yummy Mexican Food. Your host is a self employed gardener, musician, single mom of 2 and lives downstairs. Early check - in $30 The space The room is located in our second floor apartment which is shared with our house manager Joey and other guests. The home is old, quirky and affordable with a friendly crew :) Joey will likely greet you when you arrive. This does mean our space is co-ed. Quiet hours are 8pm - 7am ( Come and go as you please. Just be mindful of sleeping people & kids below you who wake early) GETTING DOWNTOWN: If you take the Metra to the city, you will want to bring cash or download the Ventra app in advance. The train schedules can be found on MetraRail dot com. We are off the Harlem BNSF stop and you will want to select the fare going to Union Station. Guest access Free street parking, kitchen use, bathroom, dining room, garden and porch use available. If you are traveling with a child they are welcome to use the art supplies and enjoy the books in our shared dining area. All guest friendly rooms are located on the main level of our second floor walk up. We have an attic that is off limits to guests. During your stay I’m a single Mom and farmer florist who bikes local flowers around the community, works in the wedding industry and sings professionally. Summer is the busy season and I can start working as early as 5am some days, my kiddos too. They can be quite high energy and curious. As hosting and parenting is a little outside the norm, I’ve been intentional about creating a space where guests feel welcomed, but also where two children call home. They will be here living their best 3 and 9 year old lives unapologetically. If you’re a light sleeper or want a space all to yourself own, please note the other beautiful Airbnb’s in our area. The room is private, but much of the apartment is shared. Other things to note As we’ll be sharing living space, we ask for safe boundaries with our children. Please be mindful of child appropriate behavior. This is their home. We welcome anyone traveling with kids and understand they will be energetic and noisy at times. My kiddos are used to guests, and we feel this can be a unique and rewarding experience for all involved. Late night, non sober activities and their effects have no place at our Airbnb.
