Renwick Heights Getaway Home with Lake View
Beautiful Cayuga Heights home, away from the congestion and noise of downtown, surrounded by trees and with a view of Lake Cayuga. Master bedroom has cathedral ceilings and tall windows that overlook the hills and the lake and faces west, so you get a spectacular sunset. Great for a couple's weekend getaway, a family vacation, a writer's retreat, or friends looking to enjoy Ithaca. South end of Cayuga Heights, so easy walking distance to Cornell or to the downtown area! This house would be ideal for a family or a couple looking for a peaceful getaway, a writer's retreat, or even a group of friends looking to explore all the beauty of Ithaca in the summer. It has a great location - close enough to access the farmer's market and downtown areas with a short drive, but away from the busiest areas to really breathe in the fresh Ithaca air and have a true sanctuary. Groups of friends welcome, but the neighborhood does not allow large or loud parties (a big plus if you're looking for a quiet weekend away!) Guests can access all areas of the house! Basement, backyard, beautiful front garden... I will be away during your stay, but you will be able to easily contact me, and I will leave detailed instructions on check-in, check-out, and I will either be available in case of any problems or have a manager available. Most guests have enjoyed their stay most if they bring a car - the house is in a great location to get to the farmer's market, the lake, and the downtown area, but it is about a half hour walk to the farmer's market, and having a car would make your stay that much more enjoyable :) If there is any food or items in closets that are not meant to be shared, I will let you know, but in general, please just be considerate of my things while I am away as this is my home, and you are free to roam!
