Description

[One night stay in a family village home] The mottled brick wall has been refined over the years. Pushing open the red gate is like opening the memory of the times. What should be seen is a Japanese-style house with a chimney. It was built during the Japanese colonial period. The architectural style records the changes of the times and presents diversity. Entering Huangpu New Village is like a paradise in the city, quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle, as if you have come to another time and space. Whether you want to experience the unique atmosphere of the family village, perhaps looking for a little inspiration in life, or want to soothe your tired soul on a busy day, or want to unwind, space out, or do nothing? Come on! The red gate of the family rest area is open for you here! - The Relaxation Center is located in Huangpu New Village, Fengshan District, Kaohsiung City. It is a symbol of Taiwan's first generation of family villages and a unique cultural settlement in Taiwan. It was originally a military family building during the Japanese rule. After the Nationalist Government took over Taiwan, it was occupied by the families of the National Army. Therefore, it has a special building scene after the integration of traditional Japanese architecture and Chinese life, which is also one of the unique characteristics of the family villages in Taiwan. In 2013, the Kaohsiung City Government registered the cultural landscape and in 2018, the "Living for Conservation: Homestay in the Military Family Village" program was launched, which also gave us the opportunity to invite more people to stay in this historic building. We chose to reshape the cultural form and improve the functional structure in a new and old communion without destroying the original old house structure. We hope that in this way, in addition to making the stay comfortable for guests, we can also experience the beauty of the old days in this environment. Welcome to stay in the village for one night. The space The guest room in the Japanese-style building has only simple decorations and large floor-to-ceiling windows. The extra-large double bed is the feature of this room, the purpose is to let visiting guests rest well. Although you may be woken up by birdsong and morning light, you will definitely like this kind of morning. This is the character of the place, the daily life of the village. The concrete side house, which was added during the Nationalist period, was added by the early military families as their lifestyles changed and the population increased. The two rooms facing each other on the left and right of the walkway are the origin of the names of the left and right neighbors, and are also our imagination and aspiration for the lifestyle of the early family village. The left and right rooms retain their original architectural structure, and the grinding stone construction on the ground and walls is one of the most common architectural features of the early period. The room has an old desk, a tape recorder, an old phone, a rattan cabinet... although it is different from the Japanese style of the family room, it is equally comfortable and quiet. Guest access ▋Free parking for three cars. ▋Six bicycles are available for free in the B&B. ▋Common spaces are freely available. Other things to note ╴ The building is mainly for 1-6 people, extra beds can be added for extra people, extra beds are charged at 590 NTD/night per person, the total number of guests is no more than 10 people; those over 115 cm or over six years old are charged for occupying a bed. Extra beds must be booked in advance and are not available on the day of stay. ╴ If you want to bring pets, please inform the housekeeper before booking and be aware of the relevant regulations. If you bring pets without consent, the housekeeper has the right to refuse to check in. ╴ Smoking is not allowed in all areas of the rest area (in the courtyard and inside the house). ╴ Please do not bring any dangerous or prohibited items into the premises; drugs, alcohol, gambling, and any behavior that violates social norms are strictly prohibited. Fire and any cooking in the room and common areas are╴ strictly prohibited. ╴ Do not use your own or high-powered electrical appliances in the B&B. ╴ Personal disposable toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, combs, shower caps, etc. are not provided in the house. Please remember to bring your own. ╴ The environment of the village is rich in natural ecology; there are inevitably many mosquitoes, and the waiting period rest area provides mosquito incense, mosquito lamps, electric mosquito incense, electric mosquito swatter, mosquito repellent, and other measures, and you are welcome to make good use of them.
