The Eagle Lake Oasis

Our 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom cottage is very spacious (3200 sq ft) and beautifully decorated, but warm and cozy. The main floor is open concept with lots of room for relaxing and eating together - a great room around a magnificent stone fireplace, a dining room with a wet bar, and a well-stocked eat-in kitchen. A huge deck overlooks the yard and the 170-foot lakefront including multiple beach areas with hard-packed sand. The lake is gradual entry, deep enough at the end of the long dock for diving. The space The master bedroom has its own 5-piece ensuite bathroom including a whirlpool tub. A second basement master bedroom also has its own ensuite bathroom. Both levels have an additional 2 bedrooms along with a shared washroom. There's also a basement games room with ping pong, foosball, air hockey, and a TV-equipped sitting area. Lots of outdoor games are included (volleyball net, horseshoes, ladder ball, etc). The cottage is winterized and close to great hunting districts and snowmobile trails so ideal for fall and winter getaways. A heated entryway is perfect for all the snowmobile gear. In the winter, accessories are provided for lots of activities including snowshoeing, tubing, and broom ball (tubing hill is 2km away, broom ball requires shovelling an area on the lake). Sometimes the lake freezes smoothly to allow skating, but this is also weather dependent and may require your using the shovels to clear a rink. Guest access You can explore Eagle lake using the provided canoe, paddleboat or four kayaks. Other things to note Summer Bookings Bookings in the summer are always for 1 week (Saturday to Saturday). PLEASE CONTACT US DIRECTLY FOR BOOKINGS LONGER THAN 1 WEEK (because of an AirBNB limitation for implementing our summer week long rental policy starting and ending on Saturdays, we had to limit rentals to 1 week). Spring and Fall Bookings The dock is usually installed by early May and is taken out in mid-September. If you need the dock outside of a summer booking, please contact us to discuss. No-party property Eagle Lake is a quiet lake, so please respect the neighbours on the lake. This includes quiet-time after 11PM, and no use of fireworks at any time. There is a noise monitoring device on site so excessive noise will be detected, and there is a security camera at the entrance so additional guests beyond those approved will be detected. Cottage country Our property is in beautiful cottage country where short-term power outages occasionally occur and are beyond everyone's control, and we do not have generator backup. Please understand this possibility when you book to assess whether this fits your needs, as we are unfortunately not able to provide refunds for power outages. Additional Charges The cleaning fee covers regular cleaning, but you still need to leave our cottage tidy (e.g. furniture in original place, kitchenware put away, garbage in the garbage receptacles). There will be a charge if there is damage or extra cleaning required (e.g. if the rule against parties is broken, and/or garbage is left around the property/home or sticky substances like alcohol are on walls/windows/floors). The following is a list of possible extra fees: Loss of dump key - $50 Garbage left around the cottage or property not in garbage receptacles - $25/bag Extra cleaning - $25/hour Damage – based on the replacement cost including labour Early arrival or late departure should be arranged in advance, since our cottage has an extensive cleaning routine necessary to prepare the cottage for the next guest.
