In the steel bathtub from 1890, you can relax overlooking the ruins of Grevenburg Castle, which shines mysteriously at night. All our guests agree: showering is the highlight of the natural open-air bathroom: protected under an old ivy tree, you stand on a real oak lid of an antique wine barrel. +++Spacious terrace+++ You will love the area under the spacious awning, which offers you the best of everything: between the cozy tent in the back and the open air and the view over Trarben-Trarbach, protected from sun and rain, you can simply do what you came here for: relax - No artificial ingredients - only cultural heritage and nature Noise level note: Our glam camp is located on the edge of the village of Traben Trarbach with about 6000 inhabitants. The tent is made of thin tent fabric, the canvas. Please adjust to a soundscape with immediate nature experience and distant village life. This means: you hear all the nature sounds, the church tower bells, an owl hooting at night at 2 AM... All this is part of an unforgettable glamping experience. Guest access Guests have access to all parts of the described living space. Other things to note +++We are proud not to be a campsite+++ Your original safari tent accommodates you between two historic villas right on the Moselle River. You are in an exclusive garden area for you alone - without other tents. We want to combine the experience of cultural heritage with the enjoyment of nature. The Glam Camp is deliberately built on the outskirts of a small village. This distinguishes us from many "hide-aways" that are surrounded by nature, but also offer no other tourist attractions. Much is within walking distance of our tent. Many daily necessities such as food are less than 1000 m away. And we are in the middle of the world's largest Riesling wine-growing region. This means that a lot of good wine is produced and also drunk here. For example, you can do a wine tasting at the winery and then just walk home and not risk your driver's license. +++Can I sleep peacefully in the tent at night?+++ The main experience in a tent is the direct contact with nature and all life around the tent. One of the wonderful experiences, for example, is the call of the wood owl from the forest on the other side of the Moselle. With 6500 inhabitants, Traben Trarbach is a little louder than the smallest Moselle towns, but less touristy and therefore much quieter than our main tourist destinations Bernkastel and Cochem. We tested the night's rest for you in the summer of 2019: in the evening from 8 PM the quiet of the evening slowly returns, from 10 PM it becomes so quiet that you can hear distant forest animals such as the tawny owl calling, from midnight it becomes very quiet, which remains quiet all night, until morning around 6 AM, when the first commuters start to drive to work, you can hear cars on the opposite side of the river (about 150 meters away) During the day you can hear some cars and also a few children playing in the children's playground (about 50 meters away) In addition a few excursion boats and barges. As a special spectacle, cruise ships can occasionally be seen turning on the Moselle.
