A stunning victorian home in the heart of Northumberland with outstanding views across the river Tyne. Located in an elevated position just 2 miles from Hadrians wall and 2 miles along the river to the quaint Market town of Hexham. A network of footpaths direct from the doorstep allow you to really explore this unspoilt corner of the Northumbrian countryside, meeting the friendly locals and enjoying the delicious local delicacies. I usually respond within 1 hour* Pig house can be taken with 8 bedrooms for a maximum of 16 people or 5 bedrooms for up to 10 people. Either way you will have exclusive use of the house and gardens. As you walk in the private porch through the front door you enter a large hall with a wood burning stove and plentiful storage for coats and boots. Leading into a huge open plan kitchen orangery with views across the private gardens and far reaching down the river Tyne. In the kitchen there is a dining table for 8, sitting area with TV for 8, kitchen islands seats 6. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need, with the electric AGA taking centre stage. Hot tap, waste disposal and x2 dishwashers. A separate cosy sitting room with smart Tv and comfy sofas seating 8 people. A fun and modern dinning room sitting 14 comfortably. Traditional old drawing room looking out onto the private gardens with large open fire and seating for 14. x3 separate WC's on the ground floor Upstairs: The master bedroom has the real wow factor - huge, comfy super king bed, super spacious, ensuite bathroom with large bath and separate shower and the views are exceptional. This is better than any hotel room you will have stayed in.! Bedroom 2 - Older girls room - Has a king bed, traditional window shutters, outstanding views and a private bathroom next door with bath and double sink. Bedroom 3 - Small double bed (next to the upstairs laundry!) Bedroom 4 - Queen bed and separate single bed, window shutters with views over the garden. Sink in the bedroom Bedroom 5 - 2 Single beds which can be made up as a super king. Additional sofa bed and window shutters with views over the garden. Sink in the bedroom Family bathroom - Bedroom 3, 4 & 5 share the family bathroom which has a bath and separate shower. If you are looking for more than 5 bedrooms you can add 3 more bedrooms at the end of the main bedroom corridor: Bedroom 6: Twin room with garden views and ensuite shower room. This room can be locked from inside & out. Bedroom 7: King room with ensuite bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Garden views and lock. Bedroom 8: King room with ensuite bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Courtyard views and lock. Externally there is parking for 6 cars. Extensive lawned gardens x2 ponds (with no fence so please make sure children are supervised at all time Tennis court (please note the net is not in the best shape - we are looking to replace this next year!) Raised patio / terrace with outdoor dining seating up to 16 Kids football goals (these can be removed if your not into football!!) Trampoline Pizza Oven Fire pit and the pièce de résistance - The Games room.... Please discuss your requirements well in advance if you would like your freezers filled or a dinner party catered and cleared. Guest access House, gardens, tennis court, games room and car parking are for guests exclusive use. Other things to note This is our family home and while we make every effort to move out as much as possible when we have guests, we do still have personal items dotted around on shelves, sides and mantle pieces.
