Our home sits directly on the shores of Cedar Beach, where Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller famously escaped the spotlight in the mid-1950s. Once a secluded sanctuary for the iconic couple, this retreat offers the same privacy on Cedar Beach they sought on Long Island’s North Shore. When you stay here, you’re walking the very shoreline where Marilyn posed for photographer Eve Arnold—a perfect getaway for history buffs and beach lovers alike. A few Eve’s photos of Marilyn and Authur are featured adorning the walls of the home. Upon entering the newly renovated historic 1921 home, you're greeted by an expansive kitchen and open concept dining and living space that flows effortlessly. Sunlight streams through large windows with views of the Long Island Sound and high-end finishes. Gourmet Kitchen & Dining: The heart of the home, our fully equipped kitchen, is a chef's dream. It features Premium Viking appliances, custom cabinetry and stone countertops, abundant natural light, and a spacious dining table for intimate meals or lively gatherings. Coffee & Tea: Start your day with a curated selection of roasted coffee, herbal tea and matcha. The home has an electric kettle, french press (& coffee grinder) Nespresso, keurig, standard drip coffee and pour-over options. Luxurious Living Room: Sink into plush leather Poltrona Frau Archibald leather chairs and put on a vintage record on the Victrola record player while reading a magazine or gazing at the nature by the floor to ceiling windows, or chill on a large plush sofa ideal for cozy evenings after a day of adventure.
