Located in the South Valley of Albuquerque, near the historic Gutierrez-Hubbel House & Pajarito Open Space. However, we love sharing our farm family with guests! You can book a Private Guided Farm Encounter during your stay (weather permitting). We will set up a private courtyard session where we bring the bunnies out, provide a basket of fresh farm veggies for hand-feeding, and guide you through a private petting and handling session. It’s the perfect memory-maker for your stay! Inquire after booking for session rates and scheduling. Guest access You'll have access to the entire private casita plus it's front driveway & shared courtyard. We ask guests to stay within these areas only. Due to ongoing maintenance & yard work guests are not permitted in the backyard or the alfalfa field at this time. Other things to note CANCELLATION POLICY: -Please review the cancellation policy & make sure you are in agreement with it prior to booking. Airbnb's travel insurance is recommended to be purchased seperately if you feel you may need to cancel. THINGS TO KNOW: The casita is not suitable for infants, toddlers or small children due to having certain collectable & irreplaceable items inside the home. We may accept older children on a case by case basis. Please message first. RABBITS/BUNNIES: Bunnies can be viewed in the courtyard located in between the casita & the main home. Bunny rabbits can be delicate creatures so there may be times they may not be available to view or interact with. For the safety of all parties we limit the exposure of the bunnies to infants, toddlers, & young children. If your stay is approved with children or teens we ask they be on their best behavior to interact with the bunnies. The host or another family member will be available when bunnies are present to go over the care of them. It is not recommended for bunnies to be picked up & held. Bunnies should feel comfortable to go up to you on their own. Feeding & petting are allowed. Please note the bunnies pictured may not always be the ones on site at the time of your stay. INTERIOR: -There is no washer or dyer in the home. -Please do not flush feminine hygiene products, baby wipes, flushable wipes, paper towels, toilet paper, floss, q-tips, hair, trash, etc. Also, please do not pour grease down the kitchen sink drain. The cost of hiring a plumber will be charged if drains become clogged during or immediately after your stay. Please ensure all guests abide by this rule, thank you. -Please do not cut on top of the butcherblock countertops. Cutting boards are provided. Also, please do not place hot items on top of the counter. Damages will be assessed & charged accordingly. -The cost of replacement will be charged if there are any damaged or missing items. -Please exercise care & caution when playing the arcade machines. •No food or drinks allowed near or on top of the machines. •No moving, jerking, banging the machines or controls in any way. •Any damage to the machines caused by any guest(s) will be billed & charged to the person who booked the casita. EXTERIOR: -For security & safety reasons there is a Ring camera facing the front yard & driveway. Please do not interfere with or move the camera in any way. -Since the casita is near our main home on the property we ask guests to arrive between the hours of 3-10 pm. Host may come out to greet you if available. -The casita is in a semi-rural part of town. It's located on 4 acres & is next to the main home on the property. It is a stand alone casita & has its own driveway & separate entrance. There is a shared courtyard between both homes. We ask that guests of the casita keep to the front driveway & courtyard area only. We continue to work on the yard & guests may not permitted in the backyard or the alfalfa field at this time. Apologies for the inconvenience. -There is a horse, dogs, hens & roosters on the property. All animals are kept further back from the casita but you may still hear them throughout your stay. A cat freely roams the yard & may become skiddish if startled. -Due to growing alfalfa & having animals on the property, you may encounter insects of all sorts. We spray the home for pests but due to the area, the home may not be totally bug free. Please keep this mind before booking. -You might see the caretaker in the back of the property. They will come daily to feed & water the animals. They may also possibly do other miscellaneous work around the property if needed but will do so away from the casita. -During the summer months you may see irrigators walk along an easement that is directly to the west of the property. They do so in order to access the water valve to fill the small ditch that is parallel to the casita. -Smoking allowed outdoors only. Please dispose of any butts in the trash.
