The Garden Aerie Master is a spacious room with a king size bed, well-appointed bath and walk-in closet, which sleeps 2. The Aerie features panoramic views of the garden and Arboretum, and art by painter GL Morris. Sehome Garden Inn is a modern bed and breakfast set on a 1-acre garden nestled into Sehome Hill Arboretum, yet minutes from downtown and campus. We offer two stylish rooms with garden views in a grand mid-century modern home with outdoor living space set in lush, engaging grounds. The Garden Aerie is a master bedroom located in the main house and comes furnished with a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, a selection of tea, and dish ware and glassware. The Inn is located in a modern home built in 1980 with soaring roof lines, an attached greenhouse and fish pond, and sprawling deck. The home was preserved from demolition when it was moved to the property in 1989 from its original location in the South Hill neighborhood, just outside of Fairhaven. Take breakfast in the outdoor dining area, a drink in the cocktail lounge, or spend part of the day relaxing in the outdoor living room and enjoy the surroundings and serenity. The grounds and gardens are yours to enjoy and explore. Take a stroll around the garden or sit and ponder by the pond. Pet Friendly We aim to be truly dog friendly. We welcome our guests to bring their pets along on their visit and be at home. We have two very friendly chocolate labs, Porter and Odetta, and one rather outgoing cat, Winston, who all love other 4-legged visitors. The property is a fully fenced acre that is great fun to explore and play in. We provide treats and doggie bags upon your arrival. There is no additional fee for your canine companions, just be mindful, accompany them on any outdoor forays and clean up! Commitment to Sustainability The Inn maintains a commitment to sustainability in every aspect of our business: from our breakfasts to our daily operations, from our homes and construction projects to our landscaping and gardening styles and practices. We are located in the Historic Sehome Neighborhood. We are minutes from the freeway in both directed. We are also walking distance to downtown and the university. Off-street, gated parking is available for all guests. We keep regular business hours of 8-6, from breakfast through check-in. You will be greeted upon your arrival and can choose to partake in breakfast with other guests. In the evening, we are available on a limited basis. We are a traditional bed and breakfast in the sense that your Innkeepers, and the dogs, will be around a good bit of the time. We maintain the garden full time, when not tending to the business of the Inn, so you will likely see us about. We are located on a quiet, dead-end street at the base of Sehome Hill Arboretum. We are in the Sehome Hill Historic District, right outside of downtown Bellingham, walking distance to WWU via trails, and minutes from the Bay and Fairhaven. Breakfast We serve an organic, farm-to-table breakfast every morning between 8 and 9:30. Breakfast features fresh biscuits, our collection of homegrown, homemade jams, and an excellent cup of coffee. Due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, we currently seat our parties separately. Upstairs guest are served in the main dining room and downstairs guest at the dining table in their suite. When the weather permits, we serve at the two outdoor dining areas.
