Studio Huis Roomolen is located at Roomolenstraat in the center of Amsterdam, a little street beween canals, yet; in the middle of things. Three large windows give a nice view over the Roomolenstraat. The size of the luxurious studio is 26m² including private kitchen, shower and toilet. Private roof terrace of 10m² at the backside enclosed by the neighbor buildings. The place is very warm and personal, perfectly suited for a single traveler or couple to retreat as well as to discover Amsterdam. The space Huis Roomolen is a one room studio luxurious decorated with private kitchen, shower and toilet in an apartment building. Situated at the first floor; 17 steps take you up. We Mel & Henri are living on the top floors and are the only other persons living in this building. The entire house was built in 1790 for the working class; our building once contained 3 families. The door entering the studio has no lock, a municipal ordinance provides us to, it’s a health and safety code. You and we are the only persons using the building, we will definitely not enter the studio during your stay. The front door can be locked securely, also camera’s in front of the building and hallway provides your security. There are no camera's in the studio nor on the private terrace. The studio has an energy label in category G. Guest access You have acces to the whole studio and the staircase leading to it. We are very close to Central Station Amsterdam where you can find all possible ways of transportation. Parking in Amsterdam is expensive and not easy. An easy tool is Parkbee; to be found on the internet, it helps you to find the cheapest car park spot in our neighborhood. Once arrived at Studio Huis Roomolen a central staircase will take you up from ground floor to the first floor where your entrance door is. The whole first floor is your luxurious studio At the backside is a private roof terrace of 10m², decorated with many plants. A comfortable garden bench provides your seating during breakfast or outdoor break. Other things to note Please keep in mind that the staircase is in a typically old Amsterdam style; steep and narrow. Please don't bring very large suitcases, better use two smaller ones as the building has no elevator. Ground (first) floor of the building is our workspace.
