Cozy old cottage on Jordö island

Welcome to our 1890s cottage on Jordö, an idyllic island in the Ronneby archipelago. Located in a quiet village just 150m from the sea, surrounded by nature reserves. The house keeps its charm but has comforts like a fully equipped kitchen, cozy rooms, a garden with fruit and berries you’re welcome to pick. Besides the main house, there's a separate annex where one bedroom, toilet and shower are located. No WiFi or TV. Linen rental possible. Note: May not suit families with small children. The space Entrance: There are two entrances—one through the front garden with space for shoes and coats, and one at the back with storage and hooks. Key pickup is simple, with a code box on the shed wall opposite the front door. Living room: The living room has a sofa, two armchairs, a sofa table, and a small desk with a chair. There are books, magazines, and board games. The tiled stove can be used upon request. Kitchen: The kitchen was renovated in 2022 and includes an induction stove, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, electric kettle, coffee maker, porcelain, and kitchen equipment. The dining area has three chairs and a stool. Kitchen towels and a small hand towel are included. Bed linen and bath towels are not included by default but can be provided for a fee of €20 per guest. Bedrooms: * The main bedroom in the house has a 180 cm bed. * A smaller bedroom in the house has a 100 cm bed. * The annex contains a separate bedroom with a 140 cm bed. An extra mattress is available. Maximum 6 guests. Bathroom: The toilet and shower are located in the annex, in two separate rooms. The annex is just a few steps from the main house, and you’ll need to go outside to access it. The toilet is an incineration toilet—it doesn’t use water and instead burns the waste hygienically after each use. Simple instructions are provided. It makes some noise while running, and the hot water tank has a 100-liter capacity, which provides about 20–25 minutes of shower time in total. Patios: In front of the house is a patio with a table and five chairs. At the back, there’s a sunny patio with table, chairs, and a gas grill. Extra tables and chairs are available if needed. Garden: The garden includes perennials, berry bushes, and fruit trees. Guests are welcome to pick berries and fruit. From the back of the house and the annex, there’s a view of the bay, about 150 meters away. Surroundings: Nature reserves and walking trails are within 10–20 minutes on foot. The Ark56 app offers maps and information. A 10-minute drive takes you to a golf course, more trails, grocery stores, and restaurants. Parking for two cars is available inside the gate. Additional parking is 50 meters from the house. Three bikes are available for guests to borrow. The house does not have WiFi or TV. Guest access Guests have full access to the main house, annex, patios, and garden. The key is collected via a code box on the shed wall opposite the front door. Four bikes are available for guests to borrow. Other things to note – The house does not have WiFi. – The toilet is an incineration model, located in a separate room in the annex. It makes some sound while running. – The shower is also in the annex and has a hot water limit of about 20–25 minutes total. – The house is a summer home without permanent heating. – Kitchen towels and a small hand towel are always included. Bed linen and bath towels are not included by default but can be added for €20 per person. – Pets are welcome, but we ask that they stay off beds and sofas. Note: may not suit families with small children.
