You will have access to a canoe and two stand up paddle boards, providing great ways to explore the lake. There is a massive 20' Lily pad, noodles, life vests, and lawn games too. Looking to see more of the land? With extensive hiking trails and connected to the Geocaching Capital of Canada, there are many options year round for adventure. The back lawn is the perfect place for kids to play games, as it is a flat surface and away from the waters edge. Use of a fire pit is available, feel free to collect branches from the ground for wood but please do not cut any trees or use our stacked wood reserved for winter burning. the wraparound cottage decking boasts the same views and includes BBQ It's a classic cottage with some modern touches & fixtures to bring creature comforts up to date, the open concept main living area is bright and airy with comfortable chairs and couches to stretch out on. The cottage is on pumped/filtered/UV treated lake water that is perfect for washing dishes and showering, but we don't consider it potable. We have a water cooler stocked with a large jug, however, for longer stays please bring your own drinking water, or fill up jugs at the free water supply in Gooderham. Tea towels, bed linens, blankets and towels are provided, however, please bring a beach towel for swimming, as our towels are intended for indoor use only. With nature abound you will have the opportunity to be serenaded by loons, visited by chipmunks and glimpse deer, moose and plenty of blue jays. Although in the area, we prefer to keep mice out of the cottage, so please keep food away and be sure to wipe down surfaces before bed. Typically 100-170mbps, clear sky’s and satellite network dependant. Other things to note We took a hiatus from AirBnB for covid and family enjoyment. During that time we installed new windows and sliding doors. This has opened up the lake to panoramic views inside. The lakeside wall was effectively fully replaced in this process. While the walls/windows/insulation have all been replaced, we took the time to add external insulation to the cottage. Due to timing, the project has been paused at the final stage just prior to installing new siding. Rest assured it is weatherproof and if you stayed with us before the cottage is quieter and cozier than before - in short just making you aware the lakeside outer wall of the cottage is Silver (external foam board insulation). FWIW: Due to the gap in renting i see we have lost our super host status but if you look at the reviews you can see we do our best to ensure you get the vacation you expected.
