Boat/trailer parking is in the lower back (south end) of the property, or you can also park on the street in front of the house. You will be provided with a one time 4digit access code upon booking. The entire property has a main house and a separate garage. The main house with the attached garden is for you to enjoy. The VIP room is off the porch by the garden. Please use the key labeled VIP, which is in the first drawer in the kitchen. Haystack House is your home away from home! We want you to enjoy our home as much as possible. Please feel free to contact us anytime if you have questions or need any help. Also, Meadview is a small town with plenty of helpful folks. We have experienced their kindness ourselves many times! We consider Meadview is the best kept secret town in Arizona. It is in the thickest and densest Joshua Tree Forest. It is quiet and peaceful, yet there are plenty of things to do (boating, waterskiing, camping, hiking, fishing)! You have a stunning view of the ever changing colors of the Grand Wash Cliffs, the peaceful Lake Mead, and millions of stars at night. There is no public transportation, Uber or taxi in Meadview. If your car breaks down, please let us know. We will help you find the help you need. Desert weather is mostly hot and dry, but you never know! Remember to bring jackets, hats, sunscreen, and plenty of moisturizer and water. We use tap water for drinking and cooking, but it is a good idea to bring water bottles if you don’t feel comfortable drinking tap water. If you have any allergies or need prescriptions, it is necessary to bring enough supplies. Good places to stock up on meat, fresh vegetables, snacks, and groceries before hitting town are Kingman and Las Vegas.
