“Relais” was in ancient times a post office where travelers could refresh themselves and replace horses during long trips between cities. Today this term is used to indicate residences rich in history where hospitality is family-friendly. Locanda Il Sigillo, also known as Il Sigillo Osteria&Relais, was born from the restoration of the ancient family home, has been welcoming our guests since 2002. You can find a cozy and elegant environment, with products of our production, organic and zero km. The space Our Relais offers an authentic and unrepeatable experience, welcoming you like an old friend in our Borgo. Here, you can feel at home even when you are away, enjoying a familiar and evocative environment. Our property, once a post office, is now an ancient residence where the welcome is warm and personal. The Lavender Suite, with a separate entrance, opens onto an external porch equipped with a table and chairs, ideal for relaxing on warm summer evenings. The Tuscan-style Rosemary Suite features an exposed-beam ceiling, terracotta flooring, a large canopy bed, and a loft with a single bed. From the window, you can admire a breathtaking view of the coast, and the bathroom has a whirlpool shower. At our restaurant, you can enjoy typical Tuscan breakfasts, lunches and dinners in a unique environment. In collaboration with the Azienda Agricola di Oliviero Toscani, we organize visits to the wineries and tasting dinners combined with the company's wines. You'll get to know the locals and have memorable experiences, creating new bonds along your journey. Even thousands of miles from home, you'll always feel at home here. Guest access Breakfast is available upon request, with service from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. from October to March and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. from April to September. Check-in is possible after 5:00 p.m., while check-out must take place by 10:30 a.m. Daily cleaning is included and takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; if the room is occupied during these hours, cleaning will be postponed to the next day. Linen is included with a weekly change. During your stay We will welcome you to our home and village as we welcome an old friend. You will meet the locals and have memorable experiences and new friends along the way... Because you can be thousands of miles away from home and still feel at home! We'll recommend hiking nearby, the nearest beaches, and the most interesting clubs. I live in the apartment next door and will be happy to advise my guests. Passionate about road bikes, I will gladly accompany you on itineraries to discover the surroundings and on food and wine tours. Other things to note Our restaurant offers cuisine closely linked to the territory and tradition, using zero-km or our own products, such as vegetables, fruit, jams, saffron, cakes and fresh handmade pasta.
