Description

The house is a typical Zakynthian farmhouse built about 80-100 years ago. Over time, it has undergone many renovations in order to be as comfortable as possible, but without altering its personality. It is located in the middle of an olive grove over 600 years old. Its characteristics are quiet, calm, isolation, peace. The house is isolated, there are no other houses around while the village is about 250 meters down (three minutes on foot). The space Many of the furniture in the living room, the dining room, the sofa, the chest are authentic, old, Zakynthian that have been restored, while many of the knits and some embroidery on the walls are handmade around 1900. The house is about 90 square meters with two bedrooms, a small bathroom, a living room and a kitchen. One bedroom with a double bed is somewhat small and overlooks the olive grove while having its own access to the garden that can also be used as an independent entrance. The other bedroom with the two single beds is larger and has access to the other side of the garden and the pool. Both bedrooms have air-conditioning. The olive trees around the garden belong to my family as we produce our own oil. The cultivation of both olive trees and the maintenance of the garden is strictly done with ecological methods without the use of insecticides, hormones and fertilizers. The garden has orange, tangerine, lemon trees as well as many flowering plants (roses, daisies, chrysanthemums, etc.). The flowers that dominate depend on the season. The pool measures 3.6x6 meters and is 1.5 meters deep. It works in an ecological way of chlorination (it does electrolysis of sodium chloride) and has automated pH regulation, which means that it is self-maintaining. Children and babies are welcome, however parental supervision will be required. The pool is 1.5 meters and the entrance ladder does not block it. Children should always use the pool under adult supervision. The use of the pool is at your own risk and its use is prohibited to people under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Other things to note There is a stray cat on the property that we feed when it comes. He's harmless and very scared. He doesn't enter the house, he roams freely in the garden and the olive grove. There are many birds that gather around the pool, especially at dusk. According to a law of the Greek state, a "climate crisis resilience fee" is imposed, which amounts to €15 for single-family homes over eighty 80 sq.m. The Climate Crisis Resilience fee is borne by the resident, it is imposed after their stay in the accommodation and before their departure from it.
