200-year-old country house with animals

The apartment with many antique furniture and a wall bed from ancient times is located in an authentic 200-year-old farmhouse and has 3 bedrooms and 7 beds (1 large double bed + 4 single beds + 2 cribs (+2 extra beds on request). The house is quietly and idyllically located between fields and streams and two goats, two cats and a few chickens live on the large property. Our many seats in the garden invite you to relax and observe the animals. The space The property is located on the first floor. The apartment on the second floor is currently not rented, so you have the whole courtyard and garden to yourselves. We can regularly accommodate up to 8 guests (6 adults/children and 2 babies). On request we can also offer two full extra beds. All rooms are equipped with antique furniture and you can even spend the night in the "Durk" (bed in the wall) where the servants used to sleep. It used to be the warmest room in the house because it was right next to the barn. In the nearby museum village of Cloppenburg, you can learn more about the history of these old houses. There are a total of 7 beds. The "Durk," as the wall bed is called in Münsterland, South Oldenburg and East Westphalia, is quite narrow (0.80 x 2.00 m). The kitchen is equipped with new kitchen appliances such as an induction cooktop, oven, dishwasher and fridge (with freezer compartment). The kitchen includes a small pantry with a washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron as well as a waffle iron. Guest access Our guests can use the entire apartment and the seating in the garden and in the courtyard. The old stove invites you to cook like 200 years ago, but nowadays it is unfortunately only decoration and no longer connected. Other things to note Here are a few general tips: To get to our accommodation, a car or bike is recommended, as there is no public transport to get around within the village. By car, the following supermarkets are in approx. 5 minutes: Edeka, Aldi, Lidl and Netto. In the village there are also several bakeries. The train station in Goldenstedt is about 4.5 km away. From there, the property can be reached either by taxi (5 minutes), by bike (15 minutes) or on foot (45 minutes). Slate floors, crooked doors and small imperfections are simply part of this old house. There is WiFi, but it is not very fast. A family-friendly and animal-loving accommodation awaits you. Outside there is plenty of space for the children to play. There are many seats and two bicycles to rent.
