A paradise for hikers and anyone looking to recharge far from the hustle and bustle, amidst magnificent scenery. There is no need to take the car; everything is within easy reach on foot! You can set off on hikes ranging from an hour to a full day right from the doorstep. Hiking trail passes right by the property and connects to the GR10 and the Spanish border. The space An authentic 1850s barn where we have preserved all the charm of the original traditional dwelling. On the ground floor, thick dry-stone walls with minimal openings keep the interior cool—ideal during a heatwave! The space is warm and inviting, featuring exposed beams and a pellet stove. Upstairs, two attic bedrooms—accessible via a steep staircase—boast large picture windows overlooking the mountains. Here, you will find a warm, authentic atmosphere that instantly invites you to relax and unplug. Upon arriving at Le Playras, the first impression is that you have reached the edge of the world. Staying in our home is like taking a journey back in time—into the history of our hamlet and its valley—while sharing the travel memories we collected during the ten years we lived here. Our gîte blends rustic charm with modern comfort: Wi-Fi, a pellet stove (fuel included), 24-hour electricity, a shower, a macerating toilet, a washing machine, new mattresses, and cozy duvets. Bed linen and towels are provided. There is no satellite TV here, but board games, DVDs, comic books, and plenty of reading material await you. Guest access You have full access to the entire house.
