The original wooden structure features of the southern province and the regional character of Jeju, reflecting the age of the structure. As a vessel for personal life, the house that has been native to Jeju as a unique housing type, we were fascinated by the natural strength of the place and architecture of the old house we met. When the structure of the walls and ceilings of the ruined house was revealed, our work went beyond the beautiful design to unveil the existence of a house that retained tradition and time, and intuition that left the most important thing in Egypt. I thought about the rugged and warm sensibility of timelessness, designing it to stay true to its current function, and the new possibilities of capturing modern minimalist lifestyles in furniture structures such as functional artifacts. I wanted to intend to live a simple and slow life through a natural friendly house, independent, and living spaces in each space, which are open towards Gotjawal.
