Walk to ocean, shops, and restaurants in minutes! Catch a free Acadia shuttle around the corner for a day of adventuring and then come home in the evening to unwind in the backyard oasis. (Bar Harbor Short Term Vacation Rental Permit #2308) The space Organic luxurious cotton linens, local art (including owner's Acadia Wave Photography), recently renovated kitchen with local granite countertops, simple functional decor, plenty of books and games, an assortment of musical instruments, a backyard oasis with patio, hammock, and gas grill, and a Acadia/local area resource library (including tips on our favorite hikes, swims, places to eat, etc!) are some of touches we provide which we hope will enhance your visit. 3 bedrooms (King, Queen, Twin with twin trundle), Huge bathroom featuring a large spa tub is an added bonus for soaking after long days of adventuring. Please note that we have a separate airbnb apartment on the third floor ("Newton Nest") that has it's own exterior access. You may cross paths with those guests coming and going but the backyard patio space is reserved for hangout space for you... the main house tenants . The areas not available to you will be the third floor separate apartment Suite (which rents separately as "Newton Nest" or in combo with this listing as "Bar Harbor In-Town Home w/ Separate Private Suite") and the basement. Other things to note -Please note we need to people who will be low impact and respectful of the space. -When we renovated the house, we did it in a way that preserves the main part of the house to feel like an entire house for our family, with the benefit of the supplemental apartment on the third floor. But there is that separate rental up there so we want to be sure people have that in their awareness when booking. We have had the most wonderful success with awesome guests which is why we have opened up to this idea of renting the main house as well. -We are not able to offer laundry facilities but there is a laundromat a couple of blocks away. -A reminder we do not allow loud parties, loud music, or other disturbing activities day or night. -We have space for one car to park for free off-street. Additional cars will have to park on the street and will require registration for the town parking permit system which we will do for you with information you will need to provide about your car.
