Apartment in Montemerano's Castle(Saturnia)

In the medieval castle of Montemerano, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, a stone's throw from the thermal baths of Saturnia, you can enjoy the quiet of Tuscany. The apartment is located in the oldest part of the village and overlooks the historic Piazza del Castello. The space The accommodation is located in the oldest part of the medieval castle. The large rustic door can be closed only when you leave the house or when you go to sleep. At the entrance there is the old oven and the old well that served the community in the Middle Ages. A large french window opening onto one of the most beautiful squares in the small villages of Maremma gives light to the house. Through the window, screened from the outside, guests can enjoy the view and the colour of the tuff and stones of the ancient houses in Piazza Castello. The rest is a large open space, with a living room, a kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The house is characterized by very suggestive architectural details, highlighted by a careful renovation, which has recovered the ancient stones in harmony with a modern design. This small village and its surroundings are wonderful: rich in Etruscan remains, close to the thermal waters of Saturnia and Sorano, close to the suggestive ancient villages of Pitigliano and Sovana. This is a land that offers excellent traditional food, good wine and excellent olive oil, Montemerano is rich in high quality wine cellars and restaurants with a wide range of prices. Towards the hinterland you can reach Monte Amiata with suggestive routes, while, heading towards the coast, you can reach seaside resorts such as Porto Ercole, Talamone, Porto Santo Stefano, Castiglione della Pescaia and the islands of the Tuscan archipelago.
