Spacious and private, self contained annexe in countryside village of Henham. Sleeps up to 4 in a king size bed and double futon sofa bed. Less than 15 minutes to Stansted airport by car. Great pub in walking distance. The space Come and relax before or after your flight, or enjoy the attractions in the area from the comfort of your own private annexe with all the facilities you might need. We have tried to think of everything. Whilst it's not the Ritz, we try to make sure it's super comfortable, super clean and just right. The entrance to Christmas Lodge is to the side of our double garage. It's within our property boundary but there is a fence between the property and our main house. There is plenty of parking available. On entering there is a small kitchenette, with tea and coffee making facilities, basic kitchen equipment, a hob, a fridge and microwave. Next door there is a small loo and shower. Please do check out the photos so that you are not surprised. The facilities are perfectly formed but the loo especially is compact. So for tall guys, well you are likely to have a good excuse to sit down! The shower is a fairly standard size small cubicle, but for those who don't want to use it, there is also a bath upstairs with a dressing screen if modesty is required. Upstairs, the bed is king size bed and there is a small double futon sofa (please advise if needed as a bed). I make up the bed with not just the futon mattress but additional layers to ensure maximum comfort. There is a desk and chair, additional armchairs and internet enabled TV so you can log in to your Netflix account or watch any other streaming service. There is also Digital normal TV. There is a bath, a dressing screen and dressing area on the upper floor. There's free super-fast Wi-Fi too. A Bluetooth speaker is available on request. Guest access Self check in is possible. Please message with arrival details. There are security gates to the property but depending on your length of stay we will ensure you have a code or gate blipper. Other things to note Please do take note of the location and do your research - especially if you are travelling from abroad. Whilst we may look near London, it's a 10 minute car ride to the station and then a 40-50 minute train ride if you want to visit London. This is the countryside so taxis are more limited and the only place you can walk to is the pub which is about a mile / 25 minute walk. Having said that, it's very peaceful here and you may well be serenaded by owls at night. It is a fantastic place to stay if you have a dog. There are lots of walks and there is a fairly secure field right next door to the annexe. Local pub is open Wednesday to Sunday and if wanting to eat, booking is essential. We do have dogs, but they will stay in our house and garden which is separate from the space where the annexe is. There may however be the odd bark especially in the summer months when they are out in the garden more, but we try and keep them as quiet as possible.
