New Studio Loft at Apple Acres Farm in Houghton

A cozy retreat nestled in the forest of the UP just minutes from downtown Houghton and the Keweenaw Peninsula. At the top of a wooded driveway, you'll be welcomed by our free-range chicken flock and possibly our cute little Nigerian dwarf goats. Our modern studio loft provides all the amenities you'll need for a memorable stay. Enjoy the private deck overlooking the gardens as well as a view of our heritage apple orchard and beautifully designed chicken coop/greenhouse. The space Come and relax in our 500 sq ft studio loft farm stay that sleeps up to four guests. This private off-grid retreat is located on 14 beautiful acres with a private deck that overlooks our gardens and solar panels. During your stay, you will be greeted by our free-ranging chicken flock and will have the opportunity to take a tour of our small-scale, regenerative farm. On the tour, you will get a chance to meet our two Nigerian dwarf goats and see our honey bee hives. The studio loft is located above our detached garage and has a private entrance that is completely separate from the main house. Guest access Guests are welcome to come and go as they please, including self-check-in and parking at the base of the stairs leading up to the studio loft. Other things to note We are completely off-grid and rely on our 5 kW solar system (with battery storage) to supply our energy needs. We ask guests to be mindful of their energy and water use during their stay.
