Allora is the Italian word for affection and was fittingly named when JD Connolly built the house as an engagement gift to his future wife. The bedroom has a flat-screen TV, reverse-cycle air conditioning, and a modern ensemble bed accompanied by restored furniture sympathetic to the house's period. It shares a well-appointed lounge, dining area, shared bathroom, laundry room, and kitchenette. Select exclusive use if you would like this space for your use only. The lounge/dining area has a chaise lounge, lounge suite, full-size SMART TV and sound system, coffee table, and dining table with four chairs. We have a wide veranda opening onto a sheltered garden. We have been fortunate, sourcing furniture that spent its life in the Goldfields. Our linen is Australian-made and sustainably produced. To make your visit more comfortable, we have free wifi, maps of our area and tourism information. We enjoy greeting our guests, sharing information on the heritage, good food, fun things to do, and information about our wider region. Located only two blocks from the main street, one block from the railway station, over the road from restaurants, and others a short walk. We are a quiet place to while away the hours and enjoy an immersion into history. We like showing off the depth and diversity of our rich heritage and region. The garden door takes you to the veranda, garden, car, or the outside world. Please note that Allora house does not provide breakfast. The kitchenette is modern and well-appointed, with a microwave, sink, kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, cutlery, crockery, full-size fridge, cutting board, cupboard storage for your groceries, knives, bottle opener, salad bowl, etc. to enjoy making your meals and your stay. There is a well-equipped kitchenette and a supermarket a block away from us. Allora House does not have an oven. Our unique Guest House is heritage-listed and lovingly restored to showcase the magnificent high ceilings, leadlights, polished floorboards, modern bathroom, kitchen, and air conditioning for guests to enjoy! The garden door enters the lounge dining area through lockable security sliding door. The guests are provided the key to their room and the garden door. We have parking on-site and on the street. Allora house provides guests with parking, shared laundry, kitchenette, dining areas, lounge, and outdoor garden entertainment areas. As guests check in, let us know the arrival time so we can meet you. Please lock your door and leave the keys in the dropbox provided. Other things to note We are a tranquil oasis in the center of town, with fountains and birds in the garden. Outside pets only, by prior arrangement.
