These downtown Flagstaff homes hold a special place on the National and Arizona Historic Registers, offering a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Arizona's territorial architecture from over a century ago while enjoying all the modern comforts and conveniences you expect. Come experience the best of both worlds. Guest access You have the entire downstairs two bedroom apartment and the exterior decks plus yards to share Other things to note This is a 100+ year old home. Our historic home has many great modern features but heating and cooling are not one of them. We do have a central heating system in the winter along with extra portable units. In the hotter summer months, we supply a window unit and a portable air conditioning system for this space plus fans to keep you comfortable. There are two additional separate rental units in the home. There is a possibility of noise from above from old floors. Northern Arizona gets snow. Flagstaff is at 7,000ft above sea level and averages almost 100” of snow per year. Snow typically starts in late November and can last as late as June. The snowiest months are December through March and the snow amounts can vary greatly from year to year. If you choose to travel in Northern Arizona during the winter months you should be prepared to drive in the snow. Look ahead at the weather forecast as your trip gets closer and plan ahead. The website Az511 is a great resource for road conditions in Arizona. A vehicle with AWD is recommended. If you don’t have AWD, have tire chains with you and know how to use them. Keep extra food, water and blankets in the car in case you are stuck somewhere for an extended period of time. We will shovel the driveway and front walk to the door of the home once a storm has finished. Be prepared to shovel yourself if needed. Most online travel agencies (like Airbnb) offer travel insurance at a reasonable price. If you are making a reservation during the winter months you may want to consider purchasing the insurance in case the winter weather prevents you from getting to the home.
