Situated a few steps away from a traditional irish pub & only a 7 minute drive from the buzzing town of Donegal and it's award winning beaches - Sonny's is a perfect place to stay on your trip to Donegal! Within easy reach of Sligo, Slieve League & Glenveagh National Park and only a 5-15 minute drive from popular wedding venues - Harvey's Point, Solis Lough Eske & Mill Park Hotel. We are perfect for families, large groups, golfers and those who like a pub nearby without having to travel! Recently renovated, our 4 bedroom home offers comfort and amenities over two floors. On the ground floor, our sitting room is perfect for sitting back after a day of exploring and cosy in front of the fire. Our kitchen is fully equipped with a unique dining bar, for the nights you wish to dine in. Upstairs, we offer three double bedrooms, one with an ensuite and one bedroom which has a small double bed along with another bathroom. Guest are welcome to use all the facilities and appliances within the house. We just ask that you take care whilst you are there and treat our home like its your own. You also have access to the pub, only a few steps away!! Keys can be picked up from us at the Dew Drop Inn - the pub just across the road! We hope to be there to say hello when you arrive, but if we are not, we hope to see you at some point during your stay and will be on hand should you need anything! Laghey is a small village offering a supermarket, garden centre, filling station, two public houses and a church. Laghey is also near two of the most scenic beaches in Ireland, namely Rossnowlagh and Murvagh. Murvagh is also the home to Donegal Golf Club. Bus Eiran do operate coaches around the country and the closest stop is The Abbey Hotel, Donegal Town. If arriving by coach, you will need to travel by taxi which is approximately a 7 minute drive. To get the best experience of Donegal, it is best to travel by car Laghey used to have a train station and old stables. We have some information about the area at the house if history is of interest to you. If you prefer entertainment, then you would not want to miss Tuesday or Saturday nights in the local pub! Tuesday is our social dancing night, where people travel from all over Donegal to Jive, Foxtrot, Waltz & Quick Step and Saturday is our night for live music which showcase some great bands! For the sports lovers, we have Sky therefore offer all the live sporting events along with pool tables and a dart board for those who wish to be more interactive.
