＼Family Friendly Apple farm／ Yokoya Farm ~KURA~

Yokoya Farm is an apple farm located on a hill. 10 mins drive from downtown of Matsumoto. We’ll host you with the idea that we want you to enjoy staying at farmer’s storehouse, kura. It’s comfortable enough to stay with minimum facilities and it left the feature of the original building. (One group only for a day) You’ll enjoy to see an apple farm. *If you have small children who can sleep with you, you can make a reservation for 5 people. The space ・One group only for a day ・There are 4 beds on the 1st floor. (Can be put the beds together ) ・You’ll enjoy movies with a built-in projector. ・Picture books for kids. ・One shower room and toilet. The wooden kura with drifting warm scent of wood was renovated in 2018. It has been passed down from generation to generation. Originally kura was built on the premises for storing rice and apples however it hadn’t been used for a while and we decided to use this space as an accommodation to keep this traditional building. A kura is Japanese traditional style of the building and it used to work for storing agricultural products and household’s goods. Its wall was made of soil for preventing from fire and it used to show a richness of family. Old houses usually had kura but they have been disappeared as time changed. We owe the guests visit here to keep a good condition of it. We hope you’ll enjoy to see features of kura, such as low ceiling and a heavy door at the entrance. Guest access I will give you the key when you enter the room. When you arrive, please push the doorbell of the main building. Other things to note This facility is the accommodation that was renovated from kura on the premises. Please keep quiet in evening and morning because here is a residential area.
