Cottage Refuge at Lake Turano in the mountains

Fairytale setting, breathtaking view from the windows and garden. The climate is mild all year round because the house has excellent exposure with lake and mountain views. It is not isolated, but a car is necessary to go to the nearest locations (2 or 5 km) for restaurants and various shops. It's all cheap and extremely genuine as well as tasty. Nearby you can eat local fish and meat raised outdoors, as you can see along the road to the house. The house is charming and has a fireplace and an alloy burner that can be lit in the evening for many months of the year and create a fairytale atmosphere. You can sleep on the sofa bed in front of the fireplace. The garden is equipped with a barbecue and a large table for outdoor dining in the cool of a tree or to enjoy the sun. There are comfortable sun loungers and armchairs for the garden, but also a little lawn to lie in the sun blissfully in a bathing suit and cool off with an outdoor shower. Nearby you can visit Castel di Tora Colle di Tora and Rocca Sinibalda. Hunting, truffle and mushroom foraging are practiced in the area. The road of the Camino de San Benedetto passes under the house, which is traveled on foot by tourists, especially foreigners. There are hiking trails in the mountains in the area because the house is located in the nature reserve of Mount Navelli. The space The cottage is located near the Turano Lake dam. There is a pleasant outdoor space with a garden and partly paved, with a large umbrella and table for outdoor dining. The cottage has a living room with an open chestnut wood kitchen. In the small living room, there is a beautiful fireplace in Portuguese pink marble and cork on the walls. There are chestnut wood seats that finish the fireplace corner, perfectly functional. There is a practical wood-burning stove, a burner, which lights up easily and creates a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. There is a window in the living room and one in the kitchenette that overlooks a breathtaking, postcard-worthy, dreamlike view of the lake and mountains. The bedrooms are furnished with handcrafted natural wood furniture, in a cottage style out of time and space, immersed in nature. The windows and shutters are made of wood and have a perfect closure for those who need darkness and can instead be locked ajar for those who love to sleep with a little light. The starry night with the moon sufficiently illuminates the garden, but there is also a lighting system that allows you to experience the outdoor space as well as the indoor space even at night. The bathroom has a minimal shower and a very efficient bathroom heater that never runs out of hot water. In the cute little cellar, storage room, there are all the tools for the barbecue, gardening, and the vegetable garden. There is always a vegetable garden that for several months of the year has vegetables for guests (tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, salad and melon) there are fruit trees for guests: plums, cherries, loquats. Strawberry seedlings produce strawberries and strawberries for the delight of guests. 100m from the house there is a meeting point for excursions and tournaments of briscola or other (in August). At the meeting point, from June to September, there is a bar with a terrace overlooking the mountains, a wood-fired pizzeria (not always) and food for basic needs. 200 meters away is the playground on the top of the hill with a slide, swing and lawn with a bench (see photo). The house is at an altitude of 647m above sea level Guest access Guests can access all spaces on the property. They can also walk in the Consortium and use the playground. On Sunday mornings in summer, an outdoor mass is held in the consortium park. Other things to note The location is a paradise and in addition to being able to do a lot of motorbiking in the middle of the greenery, you can eat delicacies in genuine cozy environments and spend very little. Breakfast is at home, but I recommend a snack with excellent homemade desserts at the bar/trattoria in Posticciola, Mrs. Elena has golden hands.
